Created on October 13, 2010 using FlipShare. Dr. Carol is teaching students of a Dynamic Body Balancing workshop to evaluate the diaphragms and longitudinal muscles of a 10 day old baby by utilizing the inversion technique. This simple technique will help parents not only evaluate balance in their baby's body but will also help them use gravity to assist the baby in reducing any fascial restriction that occurred in-utero due to constraint within the womb. Gravity will open the spine and free up the flow of nerves to the brain through the spinal foramen, while using cranial fluid to balance the cranial plates after the forces of labor molded them under and over each other. If the baby does not hang freely and straight, parents are alerted to get chiropractic, craniosacral therapy and myofascial unwinding to help the baby optimise sensory and motor function.
